IHS Kenya, a private equity fund manager based in Southern Africa, has launched an affordable green housing development in Limuru, Kiambu County.

The Muzi Salama project, part of the Tilisi Masterplan Development, will feature 240 two- and three-bedroom apartments on a 2.5-acre site. Scheduled for completion within 24 months, these units will be priced starting at Sh5.2 million.

Peter Mayavi, Managing Director of IHS Kenya, stated that the project aims to meet the rising demand for affordable housing while providing high-quality urban living. The strategic location of Tilisi, with access to major transportation routes, was a key factor in choosing the site.

Muzi Salama marks IHS Kenya’s first for-sale development in the country. Additionally, IHS Kenya has teamed up with Mi Vida to create 200 green and affordable rental housing units within the Garden City mixed-use development along the Thika Road Superhighway. Funding for these projects will come from the IHS Kenya Green Housing Fund.
