The Biggest Solar Plant in Africa
The Borno State Government which is in the Northern part of Nigeria, has unveiled Africa’s biggest Automated Solar plant. This solar plant has beat South Africa and Egyptian solar plants to becoming the biggest in Africa. The Automated Solar Panel manufacturing Plant will aim at setting the stage for the industrialization of Borno State.
Jimtilo Village where solar plant is located is said to be fully automated and has the capacity to produce 40 Megawatts worth of panels per year, with each panel having 300 watts capacity.
Mrs Lauretta Onochie social media aide to Presidents Muhammadu Buhari through her Twitter handle said Industrialization should not be the sole responsibility of the Federal Govt. Kudos to Borno State.
