China’s Biggest Textile Company signed deal with Rwanda Local Partner AMG
Jiangyin BaoRui Textile Ltd which is one of China biggest textile company has sign a contract with Apparel Manufacturing Group (AMG). The deal is to produce fabrics as well as other product that will be use in Rwanda.

Fabrics imported to Rwanda has been a huge challenge for some time now which has made local clothing more expensive. So the new partnership is a way of bringing massive production of fabrics into Rwanda. This will help create more competitive advantage to the local producers in the country.

Private Sector Federation Rwanda, pointed out that the Chinese company will provide the latest equipment and technology. The deal will also include capacity building on Rwanda’s textile industry. This will help in reducing importation of fabrics into Rwanda.
Jiangyin BaoRui Textile Company increase a set of yarn production equipment like crochet machines, stranding machines, flower twisting machine and playing machines. Their workshop covers an area of 40,000 square metres while the productivity is more than 2500 tonnes which export product to more than 30 countries. These product are used in making knitted fabrics, weaving, carpets, bathrobes, shawls, scarves, hats, gloves, socks and other decorations.
