ITALIAN COURT CHARGE SHELL EXECUTIVES OVER MALABU SCANDAL

Four Senior Shell Executives and others to face trial for Malabu oil scandal.

For their role in the bribery conspiracy with Dan Etete, former Nigerian Petroleum Minister that cost Nigeria over US$1 billion,  an Italian court have charged four high level executives of the Royal Dutch Shell Plc to court.

The court summoned the tetrad, after it learnt that Shell beforehand knew that the deal involved a convicted money launderer.

Although Shell agreed of having prior knowledge of Dan Etete’s background, it denies that its officials had any direct involvement in the bribery plot.

The senior officials will be put on trial along with others who have been identified as abettors of the hoax.
