LEAD PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST AT GENERAL ELECTRIC (GE), MALI

JOB DESCRIPTION

Acquire a complete knowledge of the site execution plan, panning, scope of deliverables / works, civil works, major subcontracting, budget and accounting structure, documentation, EHS plan, staffing plan, applicable local regulations, restrictions, etc.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operational
  • Mobilize the site and set up the site infrastructure
  • Plan and install vehicles, housing and other forms of support for site staff
  • Establishes site rules and sit rules
  • Select and hire local staff as needed
  • Write full reports daily (if necessary), weekly and monthly
  • Configure the system of classification and control of the documents of the site
  • Controlling the costs of the construction site
  • Establish EHS policy and site EHS plan
  • Strategically manage site planning, progress and costs
  • Implement and strategically execute the site’s QA / QC plan
  • Take the meritorious and disciplinary measures prescribed by GE’s regulations
  • Take the necessary steps to maintain the morale of the site
  • Manage subcontractors / subcontractors

Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)

  • Develop a site safety culture when running the project on the site
  • Promote and develop a collaborative culture for the seamless execution of on-site work between GE, its subcontractor, the customer and other on-site contractors (eg civil works)
  • Project execution within budget of the site
  • Achieve all the main milestones of the site planning
  • Performance assessments of all site staff, including contract staff and project staff
  • Maintain an intensive customer relationship and a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Closure of all site outsourcing contracts with a fair and appropriate cost allocation, thus minimizing the impact
  • Representation of GE Hydro with the customer and local authorities Maintain and enhance the professional image and reputation of GE at all times

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • University degree (Master / Engineer degree) or equivalent experience
  • Appropriate management experience in the construction and engineering of power plants
  • Appropriate experience and training in general leadership and management technique
  • English proficiency required
  • Fluency in the local language may be necessary
  • Must have valid authorization to work full-time
