JOB DESCRIPTION

The “Logistics Operations Leader” is responsible for the 3PL management of the outsourced warehouse operation located in Tunisia. This includes initiating improvements in logistics operation and facilitating a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders. The role leads and implements key projects that improve tools, process, productivity, and compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and developing the relationships with the Logistics Service provider (LSP)
  • Own regular KPI reporting and performance monitoring as well as daily health check
  • Own contract, rates, SOW / sourcing relationship for warehouse setup
  • Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customers requirements
  • Create/Optimize process for the best execution on International Transportation
  • Lead operating mechanisms with Carrier and Transportation Team that drive full compliance with Fulfillment requirements
  • Resolve customs issues related to import and export shipments
  • Drive warehouse standardization and strategic improvements. Implement and maintain Logistics Standards and Logistics Star
  • Drive data analysis and business case development for key projects
  • Supporting and driving Variable Cost Productivity initiatives
  • Responsible for on time delivery in/out
  • Developing, measuring and reporting process and performance metrics to drive improvements
  • Working cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, supply chain and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes
  • Drive warehousing optimization/Lean projects and run quarterly sessions with 3PL
  • Regular reviews of pricing and contractual scope
  • Leading change initiatives that will enable logistics to reach a world-class level of operations
  • The Logistics Operations Leader will act as a single point of contact into two directions
  • The Logistics Operations Leader monitors and maintains the Logistics Standards (KPI’s, QBR, Processes etc.)
  • Validates the provided data and communicating the results & reports to stakeholders
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and gaining agreement from the LSP
  • Project managing (continuous) improvement projects
  • Maintaining relationship with current the providers
  • Developing potential service providers jointly with Sourcing
  • Providing system user trainings to the Logistics Service Provider and issuing manuals for the training

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent knowledge or proven experience 
  • Solid experience working in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management
  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • LEAN background and experience running workshops

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or MS in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent knowledge or proven experience
  • Demonstrated logistics leadership of multiple facilities
  • Proven ability to work on cross-functional, multi-cultural teams
  • Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to energize, develop and influence at all levels within an organization
  • Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical “hands-on” operational plans and strategies
  • Proven growth leadership skills demonstrating clear perspective and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers
  • Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different countries and cultures
  • Fluent in English
