STADE DE YAMOUSSOUKRO CONSTRUCTION IS NEARING COMPLETION
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and Patrice Motsepe (President of CAF), were in Abidjan for the launch of a pan-African inter-school football tournament. They are also using the opportunity to access the readiness of Côte d’Ivoire for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations #CAN2023. During the visit to President Alassane Ouattara, they discussed the important role that Côte d’Ivoire must play in African and world football.

So far, Côte d’Ivoire is on track, especially with the construction of Stade de Yamoussoukro. The stadium is one of six stadiums that will be used to host matches at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The stadium will have a seating capacity of 20,000 and will cost approximately US $60m. Below is a video posted on twitter, showing the current progress.
