The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Malawi Electricity Access Project (MEAP) to be implemented by The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Limited (ESCOM). ESCOM intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Wooden Poles.
