ZANZIBAR AND UK FIRM SIGN ROAD PROJECT DEAL IN TANZANIA

Zanzibar government has signed a 587.8bn/- agreement with the UK firm ‘Propav Infrastructures’ in partnership with local al company- MECCO, for the construction of three main roads in Unguja and Pemba Islands, measuring about 103.5 kilometers. The signing ceremony was held at the office of the Zanzibar Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport on Tuesday, where it was revealed that the project is being funded by the UK government through UKEF United Kingdom Export Finance….

Zanzibar government to upgrade Pemba Airport. The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, through it’s Vice President Seif Ali Iddi, said the Pemba Airport will undergo a major upgrade to be able to accommodate bigger planes and handle international flights.
