SOUTH AFRICA PRESIDENT SET FOR STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS (SONA 2019)
President Ramaphosa to address the nation during SONA 2019.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to address South Africa during the State of the Nation Address (SONA 2019). This event is the second under President Ramaphosa government. The SONA 2019 will aim to inform the nation about its present economic, political, and social condition.
The live broadcast of this event will help address key issues in almost every sector in the nation. Deputy Minister of Department of Communications, Pinky Kekana has urged ordinary citizens to watch the SONA 2019. According to her, it will help them look at issues affecting them and their environment.
Meanwhile, communication agencies like the Department of Communications and Government Communications and Information Systems (GCIS) are already on the street of Cape Town. Their aim is to engage Cape Town residents on what to expect during the events.
The SONA 2019 will have Economic Freedom Fighters in attendance with some rumors saying that they will disrupt the events. Also in order to prevent traffic from the city, government have already announced the names of roads that will be blocked for the event.
The address will start by 7pm local time.
