THIMLICH OHINGA HERITAGE SITE
In Kenya, a 14 century dry stone wall structure is now a World Heritage site.
Thimlich Ohinga Heritage Site is now the seventh landmark in Kenya to reach Heritage status by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). In essence, UNESCO now protects the landmark through international treaties cause of its cultural and historical significance. During the official ceremony to mark the status, government officials urged investors to take advantage of this unique opportunity to provide essential services. Providing necessary infrastructures that will meet the needs of visiting tourist coming to see the heritage site.
