ZIMBABWE NEW PARLIAMENT BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ON HOLD AS ENGINEERS ARE STUCK IN CHINA
The pandemic has really affected the global and Zimbabwe new parliament building construction is also suffering due to it.
Currently, the project is on halt as Engineers handling the project are stuck in China due to the pandemic.
President Mnangagwa while speaking to journalists said the Chinese experts working on the site were still stuck in China but they have now been cleared to return to Zimbabwe.
Quoting President Mnangagwa, “I am sure that we would have far advanced where we are now. Arrangements have been made for technicians who have been out of the country to come and I believe that from next year, construction would be in pace.”
The new building which is worth US$140 million will overlook a new, modern administrative capital to be constructed in the Mt. Hampden area.
