Tropical Cyclone Ava hits Madagascar
Tropical Cyclone Ava ruins the eastern coast of Madagascar, 54,000 people displaced
On january 5-6, Tropical Cyclone Ava passed through Madagascar with wind speeds of 140-190 kph (87 – 119 mph) devastating most part of the eastern coast of the island.
The death rate had been put at about 29 people a week ago.
On sunday 54,000 people were displaced by the cyclone from the records of the National Office of Risk and Disaster Management
In March 2017, Cyclone Enawo killed at least 78 people on Madagascar’s vanilla-producing northeastern coast.
