ANGOLA PRESIDENT APPROVE US$203MILLION FOR HUAMBO CITY FACELIFT
Angolan head of State João Lourenço has authorized a USD 203.7 grant for the requalification of the main districts of the capital city of the central Huambo province.
The amount will also be earmarked for the construction of structural roads, covering a total of 148 kilometers, according to Presidential Order No. 149/23, dated 26 June.
The president also formalized the opening of the simplified contract procedure based on the material criteria, for external financing reasons, for the work contract award and the inspection in the amount of 2.9 billion Kwanzas (USD 3.5 million equivalent), including Value Added Tax (VAT).
The Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing has delegated the competence, with the power to sub-delegate, to practice all the acts of approval of the parts linked to the procedure, as well as the verification of their validity and legality, including the celebration and signature of the respective contracts
