NIGERIA GOVERNMENT APPROVES N307BN FOR ROAD PROJECTS
Nigeria Government approve funds for road project according to Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
The federal Government of Nigeria has approve the sum of N307bn for road projects. Meanwhile the project are; renegotiations of the East/West road contract and the construction of the Oron-Calabar segment. It will also include the reconstruction of 328 kilometres roads all over the country.
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Usani share the news during the just concluded media week celebration of the correspondents’ chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) in Cross River State.
According to the minister, the President of the nation is very passionate about infrastructural development in the Niger Delta region. He also said that it is making way for peace in the region so as to further attract foreign investors.
The minister also said that for some years now, that his ministry has been plague with several abandon projects. He said, due to the President involvement that all does project are now almost complete.
The minister also said that his ministry has achieved so many things in the past three years but are not getting any recognition from the media.
