Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Video / Multimedia Specialist based in Diffa, the technician (Audiovisual Editing) will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Organize the rushes (raw videos made during the shoot);
  • Ensuring through rigorous viewing that it has all the video and audio elements for editing;
  • Carry out the first end-to-end (bear) montage for each video product.
  • Create movie trailers, Calibration, color correction, and set a typical movie tone;
  • Place closed captioning when needed in a movie;
  • Export video files for online viewing;
  • Process photos and adjust them graphically for some media;
  • Create graphics and process photos.

Required profile

Training / Education

  • Have Bac +2 in the field of cinema, audiovisual, graphics, video editing / motion design.

Requested experience


  • Justify at least 5 years of professional experience as a video operations technician.

Skills and qualifications for 

  • Demonstrate good expertise in Windows and Mac OS operating systems and the use of editing software such as Adobe and Final Cut Pro.
  • Have the technological mastery of the principles related to SD / HD video signals, and terminology. Audio / Video file formats and transcoding techniques.
  • Knowledge of the dimensions of the images during the export.
  • Knowledge of mixing mono sound in stereo.
  • Different shots knowledge
  • Knowledge in shooting and sound.
  • Team work ;
  • Work under pressure;
  • Knowledge of video editing techniques;
  • Knowledge of professional video editing software (eg Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
