NIGER AND MALI GOVT. INVITE BIDDERS FOR ENERGY PROJECTS

The governments of Mali and Niger are inviting bids without prequalification for the design, supply, assembly, operation, and maintenance of battery energy storage systems in their states.
The project is divided into two lots as follows:
- Lot 1: Design, supply, installation, operation and maintenance of battery energy storage systems in Mali. The installation site will be the Sirakoro source station in Bamako and the capacity of the planned batteries is 80 MWh.
The execution time for the design, supply, and assembly is 18 months, and that of the operation and maintenance is 3 years from the date of operational acceptance.
- Lot 2: Design, supply, installation, operation and maintenance of battery energy storage systems in Niger. The installation site will be the Gorou Banda source station in Niamey, and the capacity of the planned batteries is 20 MWh.
The execution time for the design, supply, and assembly is 15 months, and that of the operation and maintenance is 3 years from the date of operational acceptance.
Bidders are allowed to bid for more than one lot.
The World Bank is supporting the project.
