Africa’s next longest bridge is an attempt by Nigeria to reclaim the title lost 2 decades ago to Egypt. The “4th Mainland Bridge” is proposed to be 38km long, beating Egypt’s “6th October Bridge” by 17.5 km.  It will be sited in Lagos State to connect the island with mainland, which is already connected by three bridges.
