China is keen on partnering with Zimbabwe to construct a cultural centre in Harare
China is making plans to construct a cultural centre in Zimbabwe. The centre will house the two countries diverse cultures under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The statement was announced during the five-day Belt and Road Afro-Sino Cultural Exchange exhibition at the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) in Harare.
Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Guo Shaochun said ”We aim to further deepen cultural relations and to promote more cultural exchanges. We also hope to work with the Zimbabwe government in the near future.”
The cultural centre which will be under the Belt and Road Initiative will help facilitate cultural exchange. It will also see an increase from Zimbabwe and Chinese artistes to both nations.
