TOGO GOVT. LAUNCHED TUTUDO PROGRAM TO TRAIN 500 PEOPLE ON ENERGY-RELATED PROFESSIONS
The government of Togo is launching the Tutudo program, aimed at training 500 young people and women in energy-related professions. Led by the Ministry of Energy, the program focuses on public lighting and solar solutions and has a total budget of CFA2 billion.
The program targets individuals between the ages of 18 to 35, with a special emphasis on women. It consists of a 6-month training period, with one week of theoretical instruction per month and three weeks of practical training. The participants will be divided into four groups of 125 youths, with 85% of them being women.
The main objective of the Tutudo program, according to Minister of Energy Mila Aziable, is to enhance the employability of young people and women by providing them with technological skills and fostering innovation in LED lighting. Registrations for the program are currently open on a dedicated platform.
