SOUTH AFRICA DSW DELIVER WATER TO LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES
DSW distribution is a welcome idea but are there structures in place to continue with no foreseeable end to the pandemic?
South Africa Department of Water and Sanitation (DSW) has announced its delivery of 500 water tank and 56 water tankers to various municipalities in Mpumalanga.
The aim is to ensure the constant supply of water for resident as the pandemic keeps on spreading. This will enable people be able to wash their hands with soap and water to contain the spread of the Corona virus.
According to the report from local newspaper SaNews a total of 500 water tanks has been distributed amongst the local municipalities.
The tanks will prevent resident from walking long distances to get water, especially during this lock down period.
“The department thus urges the communities to take ownership of water infrastructure and guard against any forms of vandalism, as the equipment and infrastructure will continue to provide reliable water supply post the lock-down and COVID-19 period.
