AGYIRINGANOR ROAD RECONSTRUCTION BEGINS IN GHANA
The 40-kilometre Agyiringanor Township roads is set to begin in Accra Ghana. The project which is worth US$25million (GH¢149 million) will involve the construction of culverts and widening of critical link roads within East Legon in the Ayawaso West Municipality and ARS and Agyiringanor in the Adentan Municipality.
Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwasi Amoako-Atta during the SOD of the project said the rampant abuse of road reservations has delay priority government projects.
According to him the construction of private properties on road reservations must not be allowed to continue and charged both the Ayawaso West and Adentan Municipal assemblies to start the processes of demolition of those properties.
He also said the President has focused 2020 as an aggressive road infrastructure development year as such would not allow unplanned developments to stand in its way adding “once you build on the road reservation that property must go and warned the physical planning officers of the assemblies to desist from issuing permits to people who call themselves developers.
The project will be in two phase with a completion date set for 24 months.
