OTHMANE-BELOUIZDAD CITY INAUGURATED IN ALGERIA

The inauguration of Othmane-Belouizdad City, an urban hub featuring 13,300 housing units, marked the kickoff of Algeria’s housing distribution program in celebration of independence and youth. The event was attended by the two sons of the symbolic Mujaheed, highlighting the historical significance of the occasion.

Spanning 107 hectares, Othmane-Belouizdad City includes 343 nine-story buildings and various integrated facilities. During the event, Housing, Urban Planning, and City Minister Mohamed Tarek Belaribi detailed the housing distribution program, which encompasses:
– 67,370 rent-to-own housing units
– 46,308 public rental units
– 94,305 rural housing aids
– 27,185 self-construction aids in social subdivisions
– 14,146 assisted promotional housing units (LPA)
– 2,576 free promotional housing units (LPL)

The President of the Republic inaugurated the urban hub alongside the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (PNA), General Said Chanegriha, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, Brahim Merad, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, and the governor of Algiers, Mohamed Abdenour Rabehi.
