REVOLTA AND ValU LAUNCH ELECTRIC CAR RECHARGE CARD SERVICE IN EGYPT
Revolta Egypt plans to provide recharge cards for electric cars with support from ValU
ValU and Revolta Egypt are set to launch an electric car recharge cards finance service. The aim of the project is to help customers benefit using the company’s online platform.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Chief business officer at ValU, Mohamed El Shabrawy said ValU currently provides EGP 300m financing. But the company aims to reach EGP 380m by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Ezz El-Din Ibrahim a board member at Revolta Egypt said the company will provide free charging services until the end of this year for the first 100 users of ValU Electric Car Charge Cards. The Revolta will offer a 10% discount on the prices of home car chargers. This cost EGP 28,000 per charger, as well as all accessories of electric vehicles.
Ibrahim also said that the company chose ValU given its professionalism and flexibility in dealing with consumers, noting that the cooperation aims to provide recharge cards for electric cars on instalments supported by ValU and extending between three to 36 months with no down payment.

Revolta currently provides three types of charging cards for electric vehicles. The first type is the Silver Card for EGP 11,000 which can be use for AC chargers. The second is the Golden Card sold at EGP 28,000 which is used for charging AC devices. While, the third is Platinum Card priced at EGP 57,000 which can be use for life.
As it stand, Revolta Egypt has 65 charging stations with 130 charging points across eight governorates. With the aim to expand in Upper Egypt governorates in 2020, with EGP 70m investments.
The country also need simple technology to make the expansion as it is possible to set up a charging point for electric vehicles anywhere near the source of energy.
