UNDP BUILT 608 HOUSES FOR BORNO COMMUNITY IN NIGERIA

UNDP builts 608 houses to help the ngwon community recover from the terror attack that had many building destroyed by boko haram.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has built and hand over 608 house to Ngwom Community in borno state. The state has been having problem with the housing sector. The housing units are part of efforts at rebuilding about 20 destroyed communities by Boko-Haram in 2014 and 2016.

The event which happened in 2014 and 2016 has force people to take refuge in camps in Maiduguri. The aim of the project is to rebuild the state with help from UNDP, Japan, Switzerland and other partners. Other aim is to help give back hope to school boys and girls, including old women in the community.

The European union has also invested over 20 million euro to help build the state. The focus of the fund will be for the 20 community that was destroy during the attack.
