SA Minister of Energy pleads with other African countries ahead of the African Oil and Power conference.
South African’s Minister of Energy Jeff Radebe has visited the Presidents of Nigeria, Tanzania, Niger, Ghana, Senegal, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to discuss the way forward after the xenophobic attacks on their citizens.
The visit was to assure these African countries that the South African government is doing everything possible to stop these attacks in various parts of the country. Hence, making the country safe and secure for investors.
“The Special Envoys are tasked with reassuring fellow African countries that South Africa is committed to the ideals of pan-African unity and solidarity. The Special Envoys will also reaffirm South Africa’s commitment to the rule of law,” said The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa.

As the previous recipient of the 2018 Big Five Energy Award Hon. Jeff is assuring fellow African countries that South Africa will be peaceful.
During the conference, Senegal will lunch it’s oil and gas licensing round to take the countries investment to the next level.
The African Oil and Power conference is hosted in partnership with South Africa’s Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the South African Oil & Gas Alliance and the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
