MALAWI GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED PLANS TO CONSTRUCT 40 SCHOOLS
Construction of 40 secondary schools to begin in April after securing fund from USAID.
Plans have been announced by Malawi Government to construct 40 secondary schools across the nation. The project is a joint venture with United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
It will help increase the level of education in the area as well as provide more learning facilities for future generations. Speaking during the announcement, Immediate past Minister of Education, William Susuwere Banda made the statement.
According to Banda, the government has identified 40 sites across the country where secondary schools would be constructed. The first phase under the construction will be USAID funding of 250 secondary schools in the country.
He also hailed President Peter Mutharika for prioritizing education in the country. As well as describing the securing of the funding of the 250 secondary schools as a phenomenal achievement that the country has ever achieved in the history of its leadership.
