Lagos-Ibadan Expressway now 40% complete after inspection by Federal controller of works.
Reconstruction of lagos-Ibadan expressway is at 40% according to Nigeria Government. Adedamola Kuti, who is a federal controller of works notify the public about the project.
According to Kuti, the road project is on track to meet its deadline date. He also ask for motorists to be patient and maintain high level of discipline on the road. He describes the section of road being reconstructed as the busiest. This is due to strategic position, hence the need for motorists to reduce their speed to 50 kilometres per hour.

During the public statement, Kuti describe individuals building on the section as a sacrifice. According to him, it is a sacrifice they have to pay for the overall good of all.
Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr. Clement Oladele said ”There will be increase in patrol and enforcement of traffic laws to check the recurring traffic gridlocks on the road.”
Kuti also promised increase pace of the work as fund will be available for contractors.
