PROGRESS MADE ON PIIM PROJECTS AS OVER 85% COMPLETED IN ANGOLA

In central Huíla province, significant progress has been made in the completion of health projects included in the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM).

According to reports, Out of the total 31 health projects included in the PIIM, 25 have been completed, representing an execution rate of 85.60%. These projects encompass the construction of hospitals and health centers, as well as the purchase of hospital equipment.

The completed projects cover five hospitals in various municipalities, including Chipindo, Jamba, Cacula, Humpata, and Chicomba. Additionally, health centers in Quipungo, Humpata, Chibia, Matala, and Jamba have been completed, along with four in the Lubango municipality.

Meanwhile, Seven health centers in Cuvango, Matala, and Jamba municipalities, along with two in Caconda, have been handed over, indicating progress in enhancing healthcare infrastructure across the province.

Huíla province has a total of 226 projects registered in the PIIM, with four categorized as central and 222 as local projects. There has been an increase in the project portfolio through reallocation efforts.

The province has achieved a financial execution of more than 50 billion kwanzas, with 98% of the projects in the portfolio completed. This indicates significant progress in utilizing allocated funds for project implementation.

The completion of a substantial number of health projects under the PIIM reflects the province’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services, contributing to better health outcomes for the population of central Huíla province.
