FIBERTEX GEOSYNTHETIC SOLUTION SOLVES ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROBLEM IN AFRICA
Fibertex geosynthetic solutions making waves in the construction sector in Africa.
Fibertex geosynthetic solutions for road maintenance is on course to help the construction sector in Africa. The Fibertex AM-2 is specifically developed for African road construction. The product is robust and highly durable for use in road construction and maintenance across Africa.
In road maintenance, Fibertex AM-2 can be used to prevent the propagation of reflective cracking from an existing pavement surface into a new re-sealed layer. On the other hand, Fibertex AM-2 can be introduced into the sub-structure of the road profile during construction to increase and maintain road bearing capacity.
Most African roads are plagued with lack of inadequate drainage due to high volume of rainfall. The ingress of surface water through cracks in road layer can lead to a loss in bearing capacity. Thereby causing existing cracks to propagate and form potholes under the dynamic loads of heavy traffic.
The product has been designed to be applied manually in small quantities or mechanically on large projects. The flexibility in use, coupled with the substantial cost saving on road maintenance makes it a choice product for highway professionals.
