ASABA AIRPORT PREPARING TO BEGIN OPERATION AFTER SITE TOUR BY GOVERNOR

Delta state Governor express joy over the ongoing construction of Asaba Airport during site tour of the project.

The construction of the Asaba airport is set to be complete this year after the state governor visit the site. The visit of the site is part of the governor tour of facilities in the state. The construction of the project is handle by Setraco and is to be complete in three months time.

Delta state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa said “It took two years for ULO to construct 900m of the runway. He said that it will bring joy to my heart after Setraco has done 1.1 km of the runway. He also highlight that From the work program, it could be possible for Setraco to complete the project in three and half months.”

The governor is also expecting that if the contractor continue with the pace that the project will be actualize in four months time.

Setraco Area Manager, Engr. Jihad Yahgi, said “The company is in the process of completing the water channels at the airport. He also promise Delta State government that work will be finish on schedule according to the stipulated specifications.”

The airport after completion will serve neighbouring areas like onitsha,asaba and help restore it to the former glory.
