Lagos state government signs contract for Intelligent LED streetlights. The Lagos state government and UK-based LED Lighting Manufacturer, Low Energy Designs Ltd have signed a US$6.9m contract for the supply and installation of energy efficient LED streetlights. Nigeria’s Telecommunications sector’s contribution to GDP have hit 10%. Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, said contribution of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has hit 10 per cent.
