BAMEMDA-BEBADJOU ROAD CONSTRUCTION TO MEET DEADLINE IN CAMEROON
Cameroon Minister of Public Works announce construction of Bamenda-Babadjou Road to be completed before deadline.
The construction of Bamenda-Babadjou Road is set to meet its deadline. This was announced by the Minister of Public Works during a three-day evaluation meeting. The evaluation is to assess the level of execution of works on 78 road infrastructure projects across the country.
During the evaluation, Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi said ”The Bamenda-Babadjou road will be constructed in due time. He also said that works will advance from the Babadjou end of the stretch in the West Region, which has no security problem.”
According to Nganou Djoumessi, special measures will be taken to beat the security threat in the North West Region. He also said the government is determined in its development drive and to enable the population enjoy good roads.
North West Regional Delegate of Public Works, Forsuh Wilfred Jing said the Ring Road in the North West Region is passable from all directions. But for some bridges that have been destroyed by armed separatists.
The North West Region has a total of 4,200km road network of which 350km has been paved.
