HUAMBO TO GET FIRST NATIONAL SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM IN ANGOLA
Angola’s minister for media promise to find a solution for the construction of the national school of journalism after construction work stopped in 2016.
The construction of the school was made known by the minister of media João Melo during a tour in huambo. The tour was to check the progress of work done after kicking of operation in 2014. The project which have not be operating since 2016 will be discuss by the ministry for the way forward.
The minister has promise to find an immediate solution so that construction work, stopped since 2016 will resume and be finish. An agreement will soon be sign with the universities. It will be for a postgraduate course in journalism.
João Melo also said that the postgraduate course will aim to improve the writing techniques of different journalistic genres. It will also help raise the general culture of journalists. These could range from field of geography, Language course, literature etc.
The fact that the school has not be build till now has been a worry for the provincial governor, João Baptista Kussumua. He suggest that the conversion of the future Regional Training Center for Journalists is still under construction.
