The project will aims to improve urban mobility in and around Kampala through relieving congestion on the vital Northern Corridor Route, reducing travel time and vehicle operating costs, and improving road safety.
It was also constructed to relieve traffic congestion within the city center, allowing cross-country traffic to bypass the city’s downtown area.
The length of the road is 23km which began in 2004 with an expected completion set for this year 2020.
