NIGERIA FEC APPROVE FUND FOR DAM & SECRETARIATS CONSTRUCTION
Nigeria Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a total sum of N5.485 billion according to the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.
The fund will be used in rehabilitation of Lower Usuma Dam in Abuja as well as the construction of federal secretariats which will be located in five states (Anambra, Bayelsa, Osun, Nasarawa and Zamfara).
Quoting Fashola, ‘The buildings are to serve as housing for the government’s staff in those states that have been using rented buildings. These secretariats are necessary to enable us to house federal workers in these states. The problem arose from the creation of new states.”
