Cross border pipeline project

The first consignment of 100-kilometer pipes for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) has arrived in Dar es Salaam Port, signaling the initiation of the main construction phase for the cross-border pipeline project. EACOP will transport crude oil from the Lake Albert region of Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga in Tanzania, where it can access world markets.
