Following Algeria’s closure of the Maghreb-Europe pipeline after 25 years of operation, Morocco announced the re-commissioning of its combined cycle power plants at Tahaddart and Ain Beni Mathar using imported Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to generate power.
