CONTRACTOR RETURN TO SITE FOR COMPLETION OF ENUGU AIRPORT IN NIGERIA
Nigeria Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika has announced that contractors for the Enugu Airport construction has returned to work.
He said via his social media handle that “We announce our full remobilization to Enugu despite COVID lockdown. Even with challenges like heavy rains, opening up of quarries and bitumen sources we should complete this procurement in few weeks. A definite date of completion will be announced at my next site visit.”

He acknowledge that the recommencement of works at the southeastern airport will be met by heavy rains, opening of quarries and bitumen. But these obstacles will beĀ surmounted in due time.
The remobilization to the contractor is for the rehabilitation of Akanu Ibiam International in Enugu State.
