ROSH PINAH-ORANJEMUND ROAD OPENS IN NAMIBIA
Namibia’s minister for work and transport opens N$714 million rosh pinah-Oranjemund road after completion.
The road which is expected to link the rosh pinah and oranjemund town. The road was officially opened by the minister of work and transport which is set to be the biggest infrastructure project in the southern region of the country.
The upgrading of the road was from a gravel to bitumen standard would greatly increase economic activity for people in the region plus also bring investor to the environment.
Namibia Minister of Works and Transport, Alpheus Naruseb; ”The opening of this road is testimony that our government’s programme to develop our road infrastructure countrywide is on track and I can confirm that development is indeed taking place in all corners of our country,”
According to him, ”We are fully committed to ensure that our road network is constructed to the highest standard and maintained regularly in order to facilitate trade and improve mobility and safety of all road users plus this new route will reduce traveling time, traveling costs and will also reduce accidents.
The Construction of the road took four year to complete and it is worth N$714 million.
