DR. NELSON LAUNCHES A FIDIC CONTRACT USERS’ NEWSLETTER
CEO of FIDIC launches a newsletter to keep its contract users informed.
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) has commenced the free publication of FIDIC Contract Users’ Newsletter. The newsletter is aimed at complementing the widely used FIDIC family of contract templates.
The FIDIC family of contract templates is very popular in the consulting engineering and construction industry. It is a highly regarded suite of contracts and other legal and contractual documentation used across the globe. FIDIC contracts are considered to be more efficient, and have been deployed in high-profile infrastructural projects. Most recently, the World Bank signed a five-year agreement to use FIDIC standard contracts.
The newsletter will serve as a platform to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Inside the launch issue, there are numerous articles and informative contents to keep readers hooked. For example, there is a case study article on the issue of late payment in a project. A very common challenge for contractors. Mansoor Ali, Director of Engineering Operations at AL Habshi Engineering Consultant Office writes about his harbour project in the Maldives.
